Praying to

God

When we pray, we start by asking God to align our hearts with His Word. This month, we're praying Romans 10:17: "So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ."

Praying for Your

Family

Pray for your family members who are far from God. Pray for them to experience the fullness of God’s grace in Christ Jesus. Pray for our church family to be bold with the Gospel.

Praying for Your

Neighborhood

We want to live missionally in our neighborhoods, praying for neighbors to know the love of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for your neighborhood, especially neighbors on your block.

Praying for

New Orleans

Through June, our church will be praying for Global Maritime Ministries. Global Maritime ministers to seafarers at the Port of New Orleans. As ships come to our city from around the world, their ministry can reach workers from close to one hundred countries with the Gospel.

Pray using the following prompts provided by the Global Maritime team:

Please join us in praying Luke 10:2: "The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." Our greatest need is volunteers willing to come to the Port Ministry Center and help us minister and share the Gospel with the nations. One-on-one conversations over a cup of coffee are the most effective way to minister to seafarers and introduce them to Jesus.

Please pray for the seafarers we will meet this month that their hearts will be receptive to the Gospel. Pray for our staff as we visit onboard ships each day that we will not miss any opportunity to share the Gospel.

Please pray that we will have the opportunity to put a chaplain on each of the two cruise ships while they visit our port every week. Each ship has close to 1,200 crew members, and the majority cannot get off while it is here. Pray Carnival Cruise Lines will grant our request to visit the ship to minister to the crew and to encourage and disciple the Christian crewmembers who lead a Bible study on board.

Please pray that we will have a BIG vision for reaching people and great wisdom to follow God's direction in expanding the ministry as we explore the possibilities of reaching downriver in St. Bernard Parish and upriver to Baton Rouge.

Praying for All

Nations

FBNO Juniors and Seniors will serve on a short-term mission trip to Guadalajara, Mexico, from June 15-21. They will serve alongside International Mission Board missionaries to engage in gospel conversations with university students and encourage local believers. This month, pray for Janna Smith, the IMB Team Leader in Guadalajara. She also oversees college students who devote their summers to reaching people for Christ as summer missionaries.

Pray using the following prompts provided by the IMB team:

Praise the Lord for laborers!

Pray for team unity.

Pray for gospel proclamation.

Pray for many to be saved.

Ask the Father to provide clarity on His plans for each summer missionary's future.
