Praying to

God

When we pray, we start by asking God to align our hearts with His Word. This month, we're praying Matthew 28:18-20: “Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”

Praying for Your

Family

Pray for your family members who are far from God. Pray for them to experience the fullness of God’s grace in Christ Jesus. Pray for our church family to be bold with the Gospel.

Praying for Your

Neighborhood

Kenner, Belle Chasse, New Orleans East, Mid-city, Metairie, Gretna, Gentilly, Lakeview, Uptown, Irish Channel, CBD, Algiers, the Quarter, Navarre – and so many more can be added and even brought into greater focus. We are a city of defined, celebrated, and loved neighborhoods, each one rich with culture, architecture, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, clinics, firehouses, police stations, veterinarians, dentists, and parks.

We want to live missionally in our neighborhoods, praying for neighbors to know the love of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We want to pray that God will open hearts to His gospel and that we will lovingly share the gospel with boldness.

Pray for your neighborhood, especially neighbors on your block.

Praying for

New Orleans

This month, we're praying for our English as a Second Language (ESL) Ministry. ESL is a ministry that meets the practical need for English language training by providing leveled classes to develop conversational English skills for individuals immigrating to the US in our area. Pray for wisdom for the leaders as they explore new and meaningful ways to expand the ministry to meet the community's needs, such as a cooking class and a men's Bible study class to complement the existing women's Bible study. Pray that as the ministry grows, more people will step in to serve as teachers. Pray for the removal of any barriers that would prevent individuals from being able to attend classes.

If you want to get involved with the ESL Ministry, please get in touch with Stephanie Lyon.

Praying for All

Nations

In partnership with the International Mission Board (IMB), we will pray for unreached groups, specific missionaries, and teams sent out from First Baptist New Orleans throughout the year.

This month, pray for Scott and Dana Belmore, our IMB missionary partners serving in London, England. Pray that God would continue to bring many to faith from around the world as they reach students at Brunel University. Pray for the team from FBNO that will travel to London at the end of this month to serve with the Belmores at Brunel.
