Praying to

God

When we pray, we start by asking God to align our hearts with His Word. This month, we're praying Matthew 9:37-38: “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.’”

Praying for Your

Family

Pray for your family members who are far from God. Pray for them to experience the fullness of God’s grace in Christ Jesus. Pray for our church family to be bold with the Gospel.

Praying for Your

Neighborhood

Kenner, Belle Chasse, New Orleans East, Mid-city, Metairie, Gretna, Gentilly, Lakeview, Uptown, Irish Channel, CBD, Algiers, the Quarter, Navarre – and so many more can be added and even brought into greater focus. We are a city of defined, celebrated, and loved neighborhoods, each one rich with culture, architecture, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, clinics, firehouses, police stations, veterinarians, dentists, and parks.

We want to live missionally in our neighborhoods, praying for neighbors to know the love of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We want to pray that God will open hearts to His gospel and that we will lovingly share the gospel with boldness.

Pray for your neighborhood, especially neighbors on your block.

Praying for

New Orleans

This month we're praying for Crossroads, a local organization that aims to connect children in the foster care system to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to thrive.

As of October 2024, 292 children are in foster care in the Orleans region, but only 124 foster homes are available. Pray for the Lord to stir in the hearts of His people to meet this need and provide safe, loving homes to kids. Over 100 children have also been submitted by the Department of Children and Family Services for support through the annual Christmas for Families project. Pray for Crossroads' church partners, including FBNO, to be a blessing to these families this Christmas. Pray for Crossroads' TBRI Training Team as they travel and lead statewide trainings for stakeholders. Pray that Crossroads will find a new venue to accommodate 100+ child welfare professionals for a training seminar after a location in Baton Rouge became unavailable.

Praying for All

Nations

This month, pray for Noah and Brittony Greene and their children as they are in comprehensive and intensive training for their upcoming service in Eastern Europe. Pray for their family to stay healthy and to adjust to their temporary living situation. Pray for clear minds and the ability to process all of the excellent information they are taking in each day. Pray for the formation of strategic friendships and for unity in their marriage. Pray that God would prepare them to move into their new country and home in early January. Pray for a keen sensitivity to the Spirit.
